In view of the unparalleled suffering of the Ukrainian people facing destruction and displacement of their homes and families, the WDC along with all of its members is rescinding the European and all state WDC granted title licenses for the competitions run in the Russian Federation until further notice. It is to be noted that these organizers have applied for such licenses in good faith years in advance. They have been notified and have agreed.
The WDC and all of its members stand not only for the freedom to dance but most importantly for peace and respect for human rights. We stand in solidarity with the dance community in Ukraine and are ready to extend our hand to the Ukrainian people.
